Kavalai Vendam is an upcoming Tamil romantic comedy film written and directed by Deekay, starring Jiiva, Bobby Simha and Kajal Aggarwal in the leading roles. It is going to clash with Remo.
In January 2015, Jiiva signed on to appear in a venture directed by Deekay and produced by Elred Kumar, who had made Yaamirukka Bayamey (2014).Keerthy Suresh and Nikki Galrani were signed to portray further leading roles, while the director revealed that Bobby Simha would make an extended guest appearance. The film's first look was released in June 2015, with Jiiva revealed to be playing a chef. Despite the initial photo shoot featuring the lead actors, the project became delayed and the shoot failed to take off throughout 2015. Consequently, both lead actresses opted out due to date issues and were replaced by Kajal Aggarwal and Shruthi Ramakrishnan. Sunaina also joined the cast of the film in January 2016.
