Hollywood star Pierce Brosnan, who was the fifth actor to play the worldwide popular secret agent James Bond, has surprisingly signed as the newest brand ambassador of Pan Bahar, one of the noted Indian pan masala brands. Indians on Friday morning woke up to this rather surprising news as the advertisements of the former James Bond were all over the front pages of national dailies. An ad film has also been shot which shows Brosnan performing his trademark Bond-esque stunts using a Pan Bahar tin-pack rather than the high tech weapons that he uses in Bond films.
Pan Bahar brand has a history of hiring Bollywood stars including Saif Ali Khan to endorse the pan masala but this is the first time a Hollywood star has been roped in. A whopping sum has reportedly been paid to get the former James Bond actor who endorses some of the noted brands across the world. Despite the Indian govt. has been campaigning for discouraging the use of tobacco and pan masala products, trying to bring awareness among public regarding the health hazards, Pan Bahar pulled off a major stunt by roping in Brosnan. On the other hand, Brosnan was trending on twitter since this morning with never ending jokes concerning pan masala made on him.
