Crazy director Puri Jagannath, who has directed superstar Mahesh babu in two unforgettable films like 'Pokiri' and 'Businessman', was a darling of the actor's fans until recently.
On the eve of a special day this year, Puri announced to work with Mahesh for a third film titled 'Jana Gana Mana'. He unveiled the first look and Mahesh also accorded to this project with a tweet. However, there has been no progress regarding this project yet.
During a recent interview, when asked about 'Jana Gana Mana', Puri said that he has already narrated the subject to Mahesh, who was impressed with it, as per Puri. 'He however has not updated me on the project and I am still waiting for his call,' said Puri.
This remark of Puri was seen as rude by a section of Mahesh's fans. Soon after the director's 'Ism' has received below par response, they have started trolling him. 'Why would any star hero give dates to you if you continue to make films like Loafer, Jyothi Lakshmi and Ism,' questioned a fan of Mahesh.
Puri's only hit in the recent times 'Temper' was actually penned by Vakkantham Vamsi. Mahesh's next films will be directed by Koratala Siva, Vamsi Paidipally and Trivikram. With NTR also showing apprehension to work with Puri, the future of the director looks quite unclear.
