Sardaar Gabbar Singh Movie Review

About Film ::

Sardaar (Pawan Kalyan) comes to Rathanpur a village in Chattisghad that is ruled by a feudal lord called Bhairav Singh (Sharad Khelkar). Sardaar is a maverick cop who likes to play around and he falls in love with Princess in distress Arshi (Kajal). Sardaar confronts Bhairav, who is eyeing the princess. What will Sardar do to save his love and the people of Rathanpur?

Performance ::

Pawan Kalyan :: It is purely one man show of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. He is there in ninety five percent of the movie. It looked as if he is almost giving his best shot from saving this from being a disaster. He did everything he can possibly do in a film. Pawan was so determined to impress the fans by hook or crook that he went on to imitate Chiranjeevi's iconic veena step. Despite his hard work and antics and energy and what not Pawan couldn't save the day for Sardaar.

Kajal Agarwal::  does look like a damsel in distress. She doesn't have that princely charm that she had in Magadheera. She looked tired and pale in most of the scenes. Her performance is alright. Sharad Khelkar looks tough as the villain. Dubbing artist has done a phenomenal job for him. However his character is poorly etched. There are loads of comedians around Pawan Kalyan. Ali's presence is felt as he gets to mouth few punch dialogues. Brahmanandam's comedy didn't work. Mukesh Rushi, Brahmaji and Urvashi have done their bit. Lakshmi Rai is gorgeous in the item song, but Sanjana almost goes unnoticed in many scenes.

Analysis ::

The very Rowdy robin hood cop of Ratanpur, Gabbar Singh helps the royal family of Hari Narayan and priness Arshini Devi from the evil clutches of Bhairav Singh, a heir of the royal family, who destroys the green fields of the farmers in the name of mining and grabs their land. Gabbar Singh falls for Arshini Devi, who is also eyed by Bhairav Singh. Will Gabbar Singh be able to successfully free the villagers from Bhairav Singh and will princess Arshini Devi accept Gabbar Singh’s marriage proposal on the grounds of he being not a part of any royal family, is what rest of the movie forms.

Their are all kinds of commercial elements in the movie, which are expected in every Pawan Kalyan movie. He carries the entire movie on his shoulders and that’s the kind of superstar he is. The foot tapping music, and the background score backing the action sequences are clap worthy. The main USP of the movie after Pawan Kalyan are the high voltage action sequences, mostly shot in slow-mo are projecting the superstar’s awesomeness.

Pawan Kalyan is heroic from start to end. The only other actor who leaves an impact after Pawan Kalyan  is Sharad Kelkar (Bhairav Singh) who plays the villain. He is effortlessly classy as a baddie. Kajal Aggarwal once again plays the designer dress clad doll in this movie, although the chemistry between the lead pair is daunting. The massive fan following of Pawan Kalyan will ignore the length of the movie, running for almost 3 hours and the cliche story, which we are watching since the 70s. But Pawan Kalyan being the Salman Khan of Tollywood is enough to pour all kinds masala in his movies which quenches our thirst for a good entertaining movie.

Verdict ::

Every one must watch this film its a enjoyable with the right dose of action, romance, and comedy.
